Update on BAMFs and UK Shipping!

Hello!

I have a few things to mention:

  1. I will ship to the UK: PROVISIONALLY. I’m trying a new service that integrates the processing of VAT in a way I hope works well; You'll have to prepay VAT and a 3% administrative fee, but at least you have a chance of getting it! My biggest concern driving my suspension of shipment to the UK was the possibility of shipments being held indefinitely. This should, theoretically, reduce that risk.

  2. My pens from my latest run are going up on the site Monday, May 1 2023, at 8am, Central Time. It’s the BAMF. (Website restricted temporarily.)

  3. n.b. You may see tiny black spots in some of the black parts of your BAMF when you get it. They’re very subtle, but in some pens, under the right light, under close inspection you see black dots on a “black” surface. This is superficial. This was discovered at the end of the production run, and I have spoken with my material supplier. Hopefully this was a one-time issue. Due to the aberrance, I am forgoing any price increase and leaving the price on the BAMFs at the 2021 base price of $189.81. The link above is to an online post I made that seeks to illustrate the issue. It is hard to capture.

  4. The Zebra G with red feed option is available for that pen. If you need your non-flex, Jowo nib tuned, it may take additional time before shipping.

  5. Next week, I’ll be attending the Chicago Pen Show from May fourth through May seventh. Please come say hello!

I am also including a shipping option FOR PEN SHOWS I attend. When you go to purchase under “Delivery Methods”, click on “Store Pickup” and you’ll see instruction how to arrange for me to present your pen to you at the Pen Show.

I don’t have a retail “store”, so selecting this method without a show in the next week will just get your order cancelled. I hope that makes sense. I’m extending this option to you in an effort to make things better. I hope it works.

Lastly, here's a video (sound on!) of an electronic label printer that failed me for the last time.

Pierre.
